The Tools You Need to Be a Successful HIV Advocate
The Oklahoma AIDS Care Fund oversees the Oklahoma HIV and AIDS Advocacy Coalition. The Coalition is working to educate our elected officials on the struggles that people with HIV/AIDS face and work towards strengthening their rights. We want to ensure positive policy changes and legislation while increasing access to care and improved health outcomes.
The Coalition focuses on five main goals:
Join other HIV advocates from across Oklahoma on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 for a breakfast rally with author and advocate Paige Rawl at the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame Event Center (4040 N. Lincoln Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73105). Then join us at the State Capitol to meet with your legislators to discuss important HIV education and prevention legislation. The event is free, but please fill out the Google form so we can begin adding you to your legislators' schedules for that day. Please email David at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
